- Wash the urad dal, poha and fenugreek seeds and soak them together in water for 4 to 6 hours. Wash and soak the idli rava separately in water for 4 to 6 hours.
- Grind the urad dal, poha, fenugreek seeds into thick fine paste using little quantityof water. Mix this paste into the soaked idli rava. Mix it well with hand and keep it overnight to get fermented.
- Take 2 cups of this batter and add salt, cumin seeds, ginger, green chillies, onions. Next crush the dried methi leaves with hands and add in it.
- Heat a heavy bottomed pan or kadai and add oil in it. Pour the laddlefull of the batter into oil and cover with a lid for few seconds. Remove the lid and carefully flip the dibba rotte to the other side and cook till both sides turn crispy and fluffy.
- Ready to serve and ENJOY!
