Instructions to make Neyyappam (Pancake style):
  1. Gather all the ingredients first.
  2. Take jaggery and 3/4th cup water in a pot, put it on the flame, boil it properly them switch off the flame.
  3. Now in a bowl, take rice flour and refined flour then add jaggery syrup in it and mix it well.
  4. Now add semolina, grated coconut, salt, cumin seeds, clarified butter and baking soda in it, mix it well and leave it for 4-5 hours for rest.
  5. Now heat a griddle, brush some oil over it.
  6. Pour your batter over it as per your size preference.
  7. Cook it well from both the sides the switch off the flame.
  8. Appam (pancake style) is ready to serve now.
